DESCRIPTION:Over 5\,000 fish will be stocked just for this event! \nGet ready to reel in some fun! The annual Kids Fishing Event\, hosted by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council\, is the perfect opportunity for kids ages 5–14 to experience the excitement of catching their first fish. No fishing experience is needed—experts will be on-site to help young fishers every step of the way. \nFor just $10 per child\, participants receive a commemorative T-shirt\, fishing pole\, and gear\, along with guidance to help them catch up to three fish. With the lake freshly stocked and thousands of fish ready to bite\, it’s a fun and memorable outdoor experience for the whole family. \n————- \nEvent Details \nDate: Saturday\, May 9\nTime: 8 am – 2:45 pm \nParticipants will be assigned a 45-minute fishing time slot based on registration. Time slots are assigned first come\, first served\, and kids should arrive 30 minutes early for check-in. \nLocation:\nFAFB Clear Lake Recreation Area\nSouth 14824 Clear Lake Rd\nCheney\, WA 99004 \n————- \nWho Can Participate:\n• Open to kids ages 5–14\n• On-base and off-base families welcome \nOrganized by:\nWashington Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council. \n————- \nWhat to Expect:\n• Over 5\,000 fish stocked for the event\n• Kids are guaranteed to catch at least one fish\, with a maximum of three fish per participant\n• Expert assistance available for young fishers\n• Fishing available from the shore or docks at Clear Lake\n• Fish may be kept or donated on-site to the local food bank\n• Optional fish cleaning station available \nThis event focuses on fun\, learning\, and creating lasting outdoor memories for kids and families. \n———— \nCost\n$10 per child \nRegistration includes:\n• Commemorative event T-shirt\n• Fishing pole and gear\n• Expert guidance\n• Opportunity to catch up to three fish \n* Payment is required at time of registration.
