Winter Reading Challenge
Let Your Imagination Shine at the Fairchild AFB Library Winter Reading Challenge!
Get ready to brighten your winter with reading, creativity, and fun! The Fairchild AFB Library invites readers of all ages to participate in our third annual Winter Reading Challenge, themed “Reading is Illuminating,” running December 21 through January 23. Readers can set personal reading goals, track their progress, and earn exciting prizes along the way. Reading is a wonderful way to relax, recharge, and invest in personal growth, and we’re excited to help families keep the joy of reading alive throughout the winter season!
Celebrate the kickoff on Tuesday, December 22, from 1:00–2:30 p.m. with a fun-filled Book Bingo event, where participants can play for a chance to win books and enjoy free snacks (pending funding). The fun continues January 4–9 with a variety of drop-in crafts for children during regular library hours. Then, on January 16 from 2:00–3:00 p.m., school-age children, teens, and adults are invited to create their own beautiful winter jar lantern.
Pre-registration for the Winter Reading Challenge begins December 7 at fairchildafblibrary.beanstack.org. If you already have a Bean stack account from our summer reading program, simply use your existing login or app to enroll! Reading minutes can be logged beginning December 21. Prefer a traditional approach? Paper reading logs will also be available.
The Fairchild AFB Library and DoD MWR Libraries are proud to support lifelong learning, literacy, and educational enrichment for the entire family. Join us this winter, discover the magic of reading, and let your imagination shine!
