Children’s Book Week
Step into a world of imagination at the Fairchild AFB Library as we celebrate Children’s Book Week—the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country! Since 1919, this special week has inspired generations of young readers to discover the magic of books.
This year’s theme, “Books: Get Curious!”, invites kids and families to explore stories they love, discover new favorites, and share the joy of reading together. Whether it’s your child’s current favorite or a book you remember from your own childhood, this is the perfect time to connect through stories.

Bookmark Contest
Design your own bookmark! Entries will be accepted May 4–9, and at least 10 winning designs will be printed and shared with library visitors.
Drop-In Craft Corner
Stop by anytime during the week to get creative! Make corner bookmarks and mini posters inspired by your favorite book—then see your creation displayed in the library.
Storytime
Join us Wednesday, May 6 at 10:30 AM for a fun and engaging Storytime—perfect for little book lovers!
