Reading Reflections Drop-in Crafts

Celebrate the Reading Reflections Winter Reading Challenge with a fun and creative drop-in craft week at the Library! Bring the family and enjoy a cozy week of hands-on creativity. Kids can make adorable winter animals, bright aurora-inspired art, and more—all at their own pace. It’s a great way to add a little extra fun to your winter!

Dates: January 12–17 (during Library hours)
Location: Fairchild Library (Education Center)
Who: Open to all Fairchild AFB families (activities geared toward kids)
Cost/Registration: FREE! No sign-up required—just drop in!

Craft Options (while supplies last):

Stand-Up Polar Bears – Build your own winter scene with cut-out polar bears and icy backgrounds.
Pinecone Owl Craft – Create a fluffy winter owl using a pinecone, cotton “snow,” googly eyes, and felt details.
Northern Lights Chalk Art – Use chalk pastels on black paper to recreate the shimmering aurora.
Winter Wand Twirlers – Twist colorful pipe cleaners and beads into sparkly “northern lights” swirl decorations.
