Recognition Examples

Here’s a short list of chip-worthy actions tailored to each job unit, with examples tied back to the three core values (Competence, Character, Compassion). You can use this as a guide to help recognize what deserves a chip and connect it back to the mission.

Competence

Character

  • Advocated for a fair hiring process when inconsistencies were found.

Compassion

  • Spent extra time with a grieving family to walk them through benefits and entitlements.

Awarding Employees

Flight Recognition

  • Award chip in person
  • Post recognition to Activity display as determined by Flight Chief

Commander Recognition

  • Mission Brief – Commander’s Chip Presentation – Awarded personally by the Commander along with the display, completing the recipient’s set.
