We Are Now Participating in the...

Trusted Traveler Program

What is it?

The trusted traveler program allows personnel in possession of a DoD CAC, military retiree ID card, and/or dependent ID card, who are at least 16 years of age or older, to vouch for vehicle occupants without a background check being conducted. The number of visitors that can be vouched for is limited to ten. Members identified as trusted travelers are responsible for the actions of all occupants for whom they vouch and for meeting all of the security requirements for escort on Fairchild. The trusted traveler program will be suspended in Force Protection Conditions Charlie and Delta in order to protect the installation during periods of increased threat.

Allow us to emphasize the pivotal importance of the RAO:

Welcome to a place where your military journey continues, and where your service is cherished and celebrated. The Retiree Activities Office at Fairchild AFB is here for you.

1. Guardians of Knowledge: We are the bridge that connects the active duty and retired communities, ensuring that our retirees and their families have access to vital information about their military status.

2. Lifelines of Information: Providing crucial information is at the core of our mission. From TRICARE to military ID cards, Survivor benefits to Death Reporting, our RAO is a wellspring of knowledge that empowers retirees to navigate their military-related matters with confidence.

3. Legacy and Continuity: We honor the legacies of our retired service members and their contributions by safeguarding their interests and well-being. This continuity preserves their connection to the military family they hold dear.

4. Assistance at Your Fingertips: Our RAO maintains an invaluable repository of essential resources, including phone numbers, websites, and e-mail addresses. These resources serve as lifelines to retirees as they engage in their military-affiliated endeavors.

5. Compassionate Support: We understand that life after active duty can present unique challenges, and we are here with empathetic and dedicated support to guide retirees and their families through every transition.

6. Advocates for Heroes: The RAO is not just an office; it's a force for good. We advocate for retirees, ensuring that their rights, benefits, and services are upheld and protected.

7. Guardians of Community: As the stewards of the retired military community, we foster an environment of camaraderie and support. We connect retirees with opportunities for engagement, mentorship, and service, ensuring that they remain valued and vital contributors to society.

In essence, the Retiree Activities Office is more than an administrative hub; it is the heartbeat of our retired military community. We empower, advocate, and uphold the legacy of our retirees, enriching their lives and the lives of their loved ones. We are honored to serve those who have selflessly served our nation.
